Doug Criscitello
Doug Criscitello is a finance and public policy expert with extensive experience spanning federal, state, and local government. He currently serves as a program integrity fellow at Arnold Ventures, where he leads research on government efficiency and fiscal accountability to help agencies deploy programs that achieve intended outcomes while minimizing taxpayer risk.
Previously, Doug served as Executive Director of the Golub Center for Finance and Policy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, advancing research on evidence-based budgeting, innovative finance, and credit program performance. He was nominated by President Obama to serve as Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and earlier founded the New York City Independent Budget Office. His federal experience includes senior roles at the Small Business Administration, Office of Management and Budget, and Congressional Budget Office. Doug has also worked in the private sector with JPMorgan Securities and Grant Thornton. A fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, he holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Rochester.
